The Messerschmitt Bf109 is one of the most iconic fighter planes of World War II and the most produced combat aircraft in history, with over 30,000 units built. Among its variants, the G-6 model stands out as the most numerous, with approximately 13,000 units. Designed to counter increasingly advanced Allied aircraft, the Bf109 G-6 featured the powerful DB605 engine and two 13mm MG131 machine guns, recognizable by the distinctive bulges on the cowling, known as “Beule.” Some versions were also equipped with 20mm cannons mounted under the wings, significantly enhancing their firepower. This model saw action on both the Western and Eastern fronts, proving particularly effective against Soviet aircraft and remaining in service until the end of the war.
