Description
Burnt Sienna Vallejo 73106: toasted earth and realistic reddish ageing effects
Extra-fine powder pigment designed for burnt sienna effects, reddish dust and warm earthy deposits with natural finishes. Its reddish-brown hue adds depth to weathered surfaces and makes it easy to transition into rust tones and browns. The fine grain allows for glazes and smooth transitions on metal, plastic or resin, and its non-flammable nature lets you work safely indoors. The 35 ml jar will last across multiple weathering projects and dries without unwanted shine.
For dry application, apply the pigment with a soft brush wherever it would naturally accumulate by gravity (horizontal surfaces, recesses, tracks and running gear). Blend with a clean brush to tone down panels or break up uniform areas. If you want light fixing without losing texture, touch the pigment with a brush dampened in a fixer/binder; for extra volume, mix it with binder to a paste and create crusts and build-ups. Compatible with water, acrylics and varnishes; tools can be cleaned with water and soap.

Suggested uses: on vehicles in arid or temperate theatres it creates burnt dust deposits and areas of dark dried mud; in urban and industrial dioramas it simulates aged brick, light rust and reddish earth; in railway scenery it adds rusty dust and accumulated grime. Alternate layers of earth tones, ochres and rust colours, sealing when needed to preserve the stratified weathering effect.
